The Sensor-Transmitters

HanwellSeriesTransmitter

All the members of the Notion Pro Transmitter family have the same basic enclosure (see above) and share many common characteristics.

The available Sensor-Transmitters can monitor:

Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH), using either internal sensors or sensor probes attached to the Sensor-Transmitter Unit.

Voltage inputs (1V, 5V and 10V) and Current inputs  (4-20mA), enabling the use of external third party sensors with Linear Sensor-Transmitters.
An example of such an application is the Notion Pro CO2 Sensor Assembly - IN-CO2-10 (10%) and IN-CO2-5 (5%).

The Sensor/Transmitters can also provide door alarms.

There are also external PT100 and thermocouple sensor probe options. For more details, see the Ellab Monitoring Solutions Ltd website.

All transmitters can be wall-mounted or free standing, as required. As far as possible, the Transmitter units should be placed where they will not be subject to electromagnetic interference and where they will not be shielded by walls, doors, metal furniture, appliances etc. Note that if you have more than one Network Receiver on your Site and the signal from a given transmitter is being picked up by more than one Receiver, you can associate the transmitter with the Receiver unit which is showing the highest signal strength for that transmitter. See Device Configuration.

All units can operate within a -30°C to +50°C temperature range.

All units have user-replaceable 1.5V Lithium AA batteries. These have an expected life of over 2years and work over -30°C to +50°C temperature range. 1.5V AA alkaline can be used but with a reduced battery life and a reduced operating temperature range (0°C to +40°C).

Units intended for the USA (FCC approved) and Canadian (ISED approved) markets transmit data at 90 second intervals.

To distinguish between USA and Canadian market units:
USA (FCC approved) units have 'F2' at the end of their Part Code, Canadian (ISED approved) units have 'F8' at the end of their Part Code.

Units intended for the European market transmit data at 60 second intervals.

LED Operation

The transmitter LED indicates when the unit is transmitting data, and will briefly flash approximately once every minute.
